Welcome!

This is a blog for smooth jazz and political discussion. There's no relation between the two, except that I immensely enjoy both.

What is smooth jazz? Smooth jazz is a very eclectic genre of music, which does not include classical jazz like Duke Ellington, but can really be defined as modern, having a slow pace and relaxing. The smooth jazz genre includes almost every instrument as well as vocals. It encompasses artists that range the spectrum from the hip-hop/gospel/jazz blends of singer Michael Franti, to the electric guitarist Nils, to the saxophonist Kim Waters. The best way to understand what smooth jazz is, is just to listen to it.
